We recently reported that Samsung had stopped rolling out the One UI 7 update to its global devices due to a bug. It seems that the company has quashed the problem and is resuming the global update cycle for Android 15 x One UI 7 on the Galaxy S24 series and several other models.
After Samsung updated the Korean S24 variants with the One UI 7 update, people started reporting an unusable lock screen and other glitches in the software. So, the update was temporarily halted for the rest of the market. A few days have passed, and we now see another update rolling out in Korea, which patched the bug.
Galaxy S24 users after the second update report that the lock screen bug is gone, but some other glitches persist in the One UI 7. Still, they tried not to disparage the update too much and said that it was worth the wait for a more stable and bug-free software experience.
After the update completes a cycle in South Korea, you can expect the update in more regions now that it is getting back to a normal schedule. Of course, the software is still fresh and might need some more tweaks before it becomes completely stable. Meanwhile, the Samsung rate list remains unchanged as the company focuses on refining its software experience.
If you have one of the eligible devices slated to receive the One UI 7, some minor glitches are expected in the firmware, which could be ironed out via future updates. At least, this new update will bring the much-needed change in Galaxy S24’s UI, and some new features that you can read about in the changelog.
The One UI 7 update resumes again, which means Pakistan will also receive the package in a few weeks. You will need to follow a few steps to grab the OTA update. Go to the Setting >> Software Updates, then tap Check for Updates. If a package is available, the phone will automatically detect it and prompt you to a Download and Install page.
Tap that “Download and Install” button and let the phone sit for a few minutes until the device reboots. The phone will restart and welcome you to a completely revamped UI, a new control center, and an up-to-date Android 15 operating system. Stay tuned for more news as the One UI 7 continues to reach more devices in the future.
