Other phones have only begun the internal testing with One UI 9 Android 17. But the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is already on the third Beta version. Of course, the new update was first seen on the Korean Galaxy S26 lineup. Its expansion to other regions will be slow, but inevitable. This is everything you need to know.
This third One UI 9 beta update is being deployed to all three devices, of course. Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra have the same OTA package of 1.7GB. And it will soon unlock in select regions that are usually a part of the beta program. We are talking about the UK and Europe here.
S948NKSU3ZZF7 is the firmware version that showed up on the third beta update’s changelog. There are more than a few fixes on this new One UI 9 version they’ve been pushing on the Samsung latest S mobile series. Errors with the privacy display when setting routines have been patched.
The camera preview got partially cropped sometimes, which they’ve fixed with the third beta. Widget information didn’t update sometimes to show the exact battery on the phone or the weather. And the camera didn’t focus properly at 30X. These two issues were also addressed here.
The S Pen couldn’t swipe left or right on the homescreen, and the file list could not be scrolled all the way down on the last One UI 9 version. Well, these issues also got patches with this new update. There were a few more things that needed fixing, like the background turning white when getting calls, or the phone crashing while video streaming.
We’ve only scratched the surface here. There may be more fixes in the third beta. By the way, not everyone can be a part of the beta One UI 9 program. They have to be Samsung members in selected countries. Sadly, Pakistan is not among those regions. Those who are member get to update their One UI 9 firmware as they would on any other Galaxy phone.
