The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra continues to be a hot topic in the tech world, with new leaks confirming some of the expected features while refuting others. Leakster Yogesh Brar recently released a list of specifications that mostly agree with prior reports, but there are also some notable changes.
Expected to feature a titanium frame, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will follow in the footsteps of Apple's upcoming iPhone. Surprisingly, this change is not likely to impact the phone's weight significantly; the new model will weigh 1g lighter than its predecessor, at 233g. It is a shift from aluminum to titanium for the Galaxy series.
As for the processor, the S24 Ultra supposedly carries an exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a customized "for Galaxy" version. The standard Galaxy S24 and S24+ may see the return of the Exynos processor.
One of the Samsung new 5G model’s standout features is the 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution. Reported to have a peak brightness of 2,200 nits, the newcomer outshines the previous model's 1,750 nits. However, the screen will feature relatively chunky bezels.
Camera upgrades are also substantial. The rear camera will house a 200MP sensor (HP25X) with improved autofocus and pixel-binning technology. Fans can also expect a new 50MP 3x telephoto camera. Unfortunately, there is no change in the 12MP ultra-wide and selfie cameras. The periscope module will retain its 10MP sensor.
Finally, those expecting a 65W fast charging feature may be disappointed as the device will likely stick with a 5,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will not launch until next year, making these details subject to change.
