Samsung Galaxy A34 Updated to Android 16 x One UI 8 Globally; Here’s What’s New

Samsung Galaxy A34 is two years old at this point, but its firmware continues to receive OS updates. The phone grabbed the new One UI 8 x Android 16 in Korea last week. And now the update is unlocked in Europe for millions of Galaxy A34 users.

The One UI 8 firmware version popping up in Europe has been recognized by the code “A346BXXUBEYI7.” We’ve been told that the update size is around 2GB. It’s smaller than the OTA packages seen on other Galaxy A devices. We assume it has minimal feature additions.

The Changelogs confirm a redesigned Quick Share menu on this update. Some tweaks are made to the Modes and Routines app. Samsung Internet has a new UI. Swiping up or down in the Camera shows or hides the options. Alarms and Calendars have more management options now.

The Files app scored some new design tweaks. AuraCast Bluetooth gets optimized. Some bug fixes are seen on the profile cards and the Secure Folder. You’ll see some new animation on the Weather app. Also, a major part of this update package is a new security patch for the Samsung latest 5G model.

Several countries have already received the update, so it shouldn’t take long for Pakistan to have it as well. Local A34 owners should keep track of the One UI 8 update. That can be done in these quick and easy steps.

Head on over to the Settings app on your Galaxy A34. Find the Software Update section. It will lead you to a “Check for Update” menu. If a Changelog appears, that means the update is unlocked, and you’ll see a “Download and Install” button. That will be your ticket to the latest One UI 8 x Android 16 OS.

Galaxy A34 was launched in March 2023, almost 2.5 years ago. It started with Android 13. This handset has received three OS updates so far. By the same time next year, the A34 will reach the end of line with the Android 17 One UI 9 update.
