Redmi Note 17 Global Series Leaked with Four Models, Revealing Specs and Renders

A few days have gone by since we last saw a leak on the global Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 series. Someone had exposed the European prices for the whole lineup. It was obvious that the source was withholding information, but they’ve spilled the rest of the details today. The renders and key specs paint a clearer picture.

There’s a Redmi Note 17 with a 7” OLED, or 6.99” to be specific. The renders have come from YTECHB’s site. Those are new colors too, not seen before on the Chinese Note 17. Anyway, the screen is 1080p FHD+, and there’s possibly a 120Hz refresh rate and peak 1800nits brightness on it.

There’s just one camera on the back. And that’s 50MP. The 2MP bokeh sensor shouldn’t count as an individual camera. A 16MP selfie shooter is claimed by the source, which is better than the 8MP selfie used on the Chinese version. But there is one big caveat in the power department.

They’ll cut the battery on the global version down to 7700mAh for obvious reasons. Then there’s 45W charging. It seems the global market also has a 4G version coming, which is supposed to run on a Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 4G chip. But the 5G version is going to keep the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. Of course, the Note 17 4G version will be similar to the 5G in every other way.

Every phone will be based on Hyper OS 3.1, by the way. A Xiaomi new Note mobile is also coming, of course. This is actually a smaller phone, but it fits more. The screen is just 6.83”. It’s AMOLED 1.5K resolution at 120Hz. The brightness was rated at 3500nits on the Pro. It does have Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

They’ve managed to cram in a second 8MP ultrawide camera below the 50MP main shooter on the Pro. The selfie is going to be 16MP. The Pro is built around a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, so it’s 5G and gets up to UFS 3.1 storage. Be warned that its 128GB trim will be UFS 2.2 only. 8,340 mAh seems to be the Note 17 Pro’s battery size (67W charging). The build will be IP69K.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is obviously the best out of all three. And this is the first time we are seeing it in renders. You’ve got the design, obviously. We found that the Pro Max is built around a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. 32MP selfie camera will sit on the display. The rear cameras may be the same as the Pro.

Another thing about the Note 17 Pro Max: this is possibly built around a 9,210mAh battery. At least 100W charging is supported here. The phone will be 8.6mm thick. The starter Note 17 4G is pegged at €250 (~PKR 79,000), and the 5G would bump that cost to €400 (~PKR 127,000). Then comes the base Redmi Note 17 Pro at €500 (~PKR 159,000), and €600 (~PKR 191,000) will possibly get you the Note 17 Pro Max.
