After a drawn-out promo campaign, the Redmi Note 11 5G series debuted on schedule yesterday. Featuring three editions — the Note 11, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro+ — the new line of Redmi phones is now available in mainland China. And it has more value to offer than ever.

Redmi Note 11 5G

Xiaomi is overhauling the entire Note series with 5G this season. Inside the Note 11, the MediaTek Dimensity 810 is the 5G engine. It’s powered by a 5000 mAh battery that charges at 33W. Xiaomi promises a full recharge in just under an hour. Android 11 and the custom MIUI run on the Redmi Note 11 5G.

The design hasn’t changed much for the baseline edition. We find a subtle grainy texture on the chamfered shell of the Note 11. The camera island rises out of the backplate, containing chrome accents and two lenses. It comes in Mysterious Black, Milky Way Blue, and Mint Green.

Flip the phone over to find an O-hole screen. It’s a 6.6” IPS LCD that peaks at a 1080P resolution and refreshes at 90Hz. The camera embedded in this display is 16MP. The dual rear camera system is made of 50MP wide and 8MP ultra-wide lenses.

You get 128GB of storage and 4GB/6GB/8GB of multitasking memory. The Note 11 build includes an IR Blaster, a 3.5 audio jack, and an IP53 rating against water. It starts at CNY 1,199 (~ Rs. 31,900.)

Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G

The Note 11 Pro 5G sports a more modern, trendy design. Xiaomi has flattened the edges. It’s a glass shell, featuring an anti-glare matte finish. At 6.81mm thickness, the phone has a slim, lightweight design. You can pick from Mysterious Black, Forest Green, Timeless Purple, and Milky Way Blue.

The two speakers built into the Pro edition are Dolby Atmos-certified and tuned by JBL. Liquid cooling keeps the high-performance Dimensity 920 chip from throttling whether you’re gaming or charging.

The 5160 mAh battery inside the Redmi Note 11 Pro charges over 67W. A 100% charge is delivered in just 43 minutes.

Lastly, the screen is a 6.67” AMOLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz and samples for touches at 360Hz. It’s surrounded by tiny bezels and a single hole-punch. The camera cluster features 108MP wide, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro cameras. Note 11 Pro costs CNY 1,699 (~ Rs. 45,000.)

Redmi Note 11 Pro+

The Pro+ is the top-end edition of the Note 11 series. It has the same body and display as the standard Pro. Inside, the Dimensity 920 chip and up to 256GB of internal storage are also shared.

But the Note 11 Pro+ has a 4500 mAh battery that charges at a whopping 120W. It takes only 15 minutes to fully charge the phone at max speeds. The imaging system is also common with the Note 11 Pro.

You can choose from Mysterious Black, Forest Green, and Timeless Purple. The Pro+ also comes in a limited edition green YIBO Design. Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is priced at CNY 1,999 (~ Rs. 53,000.)
