Xiaomi's promotional campaign for the upcoming Redmi Note 10 series is ongoing. They've published early teasers and shared the launch timeline, but neither the official sources nor the rumor mill had uncovered any product images until now. What appears to be a marketing product image and a hands-on photo of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro retail box surfaced online yesterday.
The product image is low-quality, but both the render and the retail box photo show the same Redmi Note 10 Pro. Xiaomi is reintroducing the design language seen in their latest Mi 11 flagship.
You can make out the rounded camera island and accents around the two primary lenses. Two smaller lenses are wedged between them. You’ll also note that the Note 10 Pro has a uniform bezel all around it. Plus, the hole-punch cutout in the display is visibly smaller.
Based on an educated guess, the shell and frame are made of plastic. You can pick from soft orange and blue gradient paint jobs.
Abhishek Yadav, an Indian phone leaker, published a similar retail box photo of the standard Xiaomi Redmi Note 10. It has roughly the same design but with a thicker chin. The box is also stamped with two key specifications: the Note 10 has an FHD+ AMOLED screen and a 48MP camera. If the Note 10 is any guide, the Pro edition should feature an OLED display too.
From the official teasers we’ve seen so far, we know that the Redmi Note 10 series (including the Pro edition) has tough Gorilla Glass on the screen, an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, and Hi-Res certified dual speakers. Not only do these features elevate this phone’s build quality, but they also signal a new precedent for budget-focused entry-level smartphones to be added soon to the Xiaomi price list.
In related news, the source that leaked these photos also shares images featuring a possible Redmi K40 prototype. In a similar vein to the Note 10 and Mi 11, the K40 adopts a rounded camera plate and its chrome accent.
The flagship K40 series reportedly runs on the latest Snapdragon 888 and uses Samsung-made 120Hz AMOLED displays. The standard K40 is slated for launch later this week.
