Xiaomi has a big launch event lined up for May 25 in Pakistan where they will be introducing two new Redmi phones — the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10s and Redmi Note 10 5G. The virtual event is slated for 5 PM today, and you can catch it live on Xiaomi’s Facebook or YouTube pages. WhatMobile has already covered the Note 10S in a previous story, so we turn to the Note 10 5G now.

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 5G is yet another Dimensity-700-powered phone to come out of China. It’s MediaTek silicon, built on a 7nm process and clocked at 2.2 GHz. The phone supports dual-mode 5G, high-speed UFS 2.2 flash storage, and 18W of power to charge its 5000 mAh battery.

Xiaomi promises 16 hours of uninterrupted gaming and 22 hours of video playback on a single charge. The Note 10 5G comes in 4GB/6GB memory and 64GB/128GB storage alternatives. Its build also includes NFC, IR blaster, a side-facing thumbprint reader, and a 3.5mm audio port. The latest MIUI 12.5 runs on this Note.

For visuals, we’re looking at a 6.5” LCD delivering a full HD resolution that can refresh at 90Hz and that too, at an affordable Xiaomi mobile price. The Redmi Note 10 5G can dynamically adjust both the brightness and the refresh rate thanks to its array of 360° light sensors and AdaptiveSync technology.

The design follows the typical Note 10 playbook. The Redmi Note 10 5G has a curved shell, beveled edges, and chrome accents on the camera plate.

It features a 48MP f/1.79 lens and two 2MP macro and depth-mapping sensors. Out on the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera sitting inside a hole-punch cutout. We expect the phone to start from Rs. 41,999.
