MediaTek added two new mobile platforms to the 5G Dimensity series this week — the Dimensity 810 and Dimensity 920. The Dimensity 810 is debuting soon inside a Realme phone, according to official sources. We suspect that phone is the Realme 8s.

Madhav Sheth, the CEO of Realme, went on record to tweet that Realme is bringing the MediaTek Dimensity 810 to the market soon. It’s a 6nm chip featuring 5G connectivity and next-gen camera improvements (AI boosted color and noise-cleaning.) The phone’s specs and product images were leaked online.

MediaTek Dimensity 810, a 5000 mAh battery, and the realme UI 2.0 power the Realme 8s. It quick-charges at 33W. You get 6GB/8GB of memory and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. The build weighs 194g and measures 8.5mm in depth.

The display of the new Realme mobile phone 2021 is a 6.5” panel with an O-hole cutout, a Full HD resolution, and a responsive refresh rate of 90Hz. A 16MP selfie camera is encased inside the screen. Realme 8s integrates a fingerprint scanner into the frame that doubles as the power button.

Realme 8s shell is chamfered along the edges and painted in a subtle gradient finish, offered in at least one violet shade. The backplate has a matrix of three lenses and an AI sticker. It’s made of a 64MP wide lens and possibly two low-res sensors.

Certification authorities in several markets have signed off on the Realme 8s under the model number “RMX3151.” Even though no official timeline has been shared yet, the phone should be launching soon with the Realme 8i.
