Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is a flagship gaming phone that came out in China earlier this year. And Xiaomi is now planning on bringing it to a wider audience with a global release. The K40 Gaming Edition will launch outside of China under the POCO brand. The brand has previously teased that the Xiaomi POCO F3 GT, essentially a renamed K40 Gaming, is coming this quarter. A new leak gives us further details on this launch timeline.

Xiaomi POCO F3 GT is slated for launch within the first ten days of August 2021, as per the sources. The phone debuts in India first and should head to Pakistan soon after, given POCO’s typical release calendar. Since it’s a rebranded K40 Gaming, the F3 GT should launch with more or less the same specs.

The 6nm Dimensity 1200 5G is at the heart of the POCO F3 GT — currently the most cutting-edge flagship chip from MediaTek. It works with a whopping 12GB of multitasking memory and 256GB of blazing-fast UFS 3.1 storage. A massive 5000 mAh battery, featuring breaking-neck 67W fast charging speeds, powers the POCO F3 GT.

Xiaomi New model for 2021, the POCO F3 GT should also carry over the gaming features from the K40: shoulder-mounted trigger buttons (mappable to any modern game), graphene-based cooling system, 12-antenna group for seamless connectivity, high-definition vibration motor, and incredibly responsive and accurate 480Hz touch sampling.

The gameplay is made immersive with the 1080P OLED screen, capable of refreshing at 120Hz and delivering an ultra-high contrast ratio. Plus, the dual speaker system onboard the F3 GT would be tuned by JBL and certified by Dolby Atmos for a quality surround sound experience.
