Oppo Reno 15 series isn’t wrapping up with three devices in China. There might be a fourth one, and we just found it on Geekbench. You must’ve heard rumors about the Reno 15 Pro Max before the series officially debuted. It’s late, but the device is real, and here’s what the benchmark revealed about it.
The chipset hasn’t changed, by the looks of it. The basic Reno 15 and 15 Pro had a Dimensity 8450 SoC. The Reno 15 Pro Max is supposed to carry the same chip, if the listing proves accurate. The CPU information on the benchmark gave us the clue.
We see an 8-core engine on the phone. The biggest core is 3.25GHz, and the three cores that follow it rev at 3.0GHz. It’s very clearly a Dimensity 8450, because no other chip has a similar core configuration. The scorecard continues with more specs.
The device Oppo's latest flagship mobile they tested, has 12GB RAM, which obviously helped with the scores. The Reno 15 Pro Max hits 1596 points (single core). The scores are pushed all the way up to 6124 points on all eight cores. It’s surely a semi-flagship phone, and it’s all due to the Dimensity 8450 platform.
This newcomer has Android 16, so the fresh and new Color OS 16 is pre-installed in the system. The name’s missing from this benchmark. But there is a model number for the handset. CPH2811 is also known as Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max. The company had the device registered at NBTC (Thailand), with this exact number.
There’s more than enough proof now that the device is coming, but in which market? “CPH” is the prefix company usually associated with the global Oppo devices. There’s no reason to think that Reno 15 Pro Max will be any different. We’ll find its true launch trajectory soon enough.
The original leaks had pegged this device with a Dimensity 9400 SoC. They are proven wrong by Geekbench. This changes all previous expectations about the Reno 15 Pro Max. We have to wait for newer leaks before making a well-measured claim. Keep watching the news for updates.
