Every brand is trying to copy the iPhone look. Oppo A6c blatantly rips off that design with a camera bar and rounded corners. This newcomer was already in China, but now they want to deploy the handset globally, and it could have different specs. A leaker just exposed the Oppo A6c on X.
The Chinese Oppo A6c wasn’t really an original handset. It was a rebadged Oppo A6x 4G, specs and all. The global version changes the design a bit, which you can see in the photos right here. And the specs are different as well, including the chipset and battery.
The leak source told us that the battery will be a bigger 7000mAh pack. So it’s basically a two-day phone with light usage. The charging could be slow at 15W only. So the refill is going to take hours. It’s just a sub-entry-level phone. It won’t be fair to expect a higher charging speed here.
Oppo's new A mobile in China ran the Snapdragon 685, which is much better than the global version. They’ve chosen a Unisoc T7250 SoC for it, which is a 1.8 GHz processor. It does have a better Mali-G57 iGPU, though, so the gaming performance could be the same as Helio G99.
By the way, if this leak is true, the Oppo A6c may get the OS upgrade to Android 16 (vs. Android 15 on the Chinese A6c). There’s going to be a side fingerprint ID on the handset. And the screen could have a peak brightness of 900 nits.
The phones share screen sizes and other properties like the resolution. Oppo A6s (global) is built around the same 6.75” IPS LCD, potentially a 120Hz panel with only HD+ or 720p resolution. Nothing has changed in the camera department either.
The version to reach the global market has a different design. But the lens stack is in the same position, and it has the same 13MP main camera. The screen has a notch where a 5MP selfie camera is installed. The global launch for this Oppo A6c shouldn’t be far. Keep watching the news for updates.
