The Oppo A60 seems due for launch soon, with key specifications recently uncovered through the Google Play Console database. Its listing not only reveals hardware details but also the improved design language. Let's have a look at what this upcoming device has to offer.

According to the Google Play Console listing, the Oppo A60 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, identified by the model number QTI SM6225. This chipset features a (4+4) core cluster with four Cortex A73 prime cores clocked at 2.4GHz.

Coupled with this chipset, the device will boast 8GB of RAM. The listing also reveals that the Oppo A60 will sport a 720p screen, indicating that it will be positioned as an entry-level device. Renderings provided by the Google Play Console showcase a hole-punch style front camera, replacing the water-drop notch seen on its predecessor, the Oppo A59.

Camera details suggest that the Oppo A60 will feature a 50MP shooter on the back, accompanied by an 8MP front-facing camera.  In contrast to its predecessor, the Oppo budget new model will offer a different chipset and display configuration.

While the A59 featured a 5G Dimensity 6020 chipset and a 720p IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, the A60 opts for the Snapdragon 680 4G chipset and a standard 720p screen. The Oppo A60 has already received certification from various platforms, including Thailand’s NBTC, Indonesia’s SDPPI and TKDN, and the UAE’s TDRA.

Although these certifications provided limited information, they hinted at an imminent release. The Camera FV-5 platform further suggests the presence of a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Stay tuned for further updates as the release date draws near.
