Another entry-segment Oppo phone is out. It’s the descendant of the brand’s A-series and succeeds the low-cost OPPO A16k, launched in November 2021. Branded the A17k, the newcomer mimics the design of the recently unveiled A17 from the same catalog. Apart from the rear single-camera unit, both phones are essentially twins.

Featuring metal rims, rounded corners, and thick bezels around the screen, Gold & Navy Blue are two new colors on the OPPO A17k. And as suspected, it has the same faux leather backplate as its counterpart, withstanding finger grease and endowing it with a semi-premium look.

The all-new A-family member carries v-notch bleeding into a 6.56-inch IPS screen. The display maxes out at 720p or HD+ resolution. A higher refresh rate is also lacking here, capping it to 60Hz. The notch on the A17k's forehead hides a 5MP F/2.2 portrait mode selfie shooter.

With the same Helio G35 processor as the A17, the new "K" addition to the OPPO rate list features a 2.3GHz processing speed, a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, and 64GB internal storage. The device comes with 3GB of physical RAM + up to 4GB of virtual RAM.

Furthermore, the device includes a fingerprint scanner and Dirac 3.0 ultra-volume mode speakers. It runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 by default and contains a solo 8MP camera setting for photography. To boot up, A17k packs a 5,000mAh battery rated for 10W fast charging.

The typical MicroSD card slot is also available here, supporting up to 1TB of storage expansion. OPPO A17k holds an IPX4 water resistance rating and Panda glass protection at a sweet Oppo Budget price. Featuring a solo 64+3GB memory configuration, it costs USD $128 or around 28,000 PKR.
