The Nothing Phone (3) teaser has just been dropped, and it’s a big deal. The fans have been eyeing this device for around two years after 2023’s Nothing Phone (2), but the wait is almost over now. The company’s official teaser on X gives a nod to the smartphone’s imminent launch, and here’s everything you need to know.
Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei revealed at the start of this month that the Phone (3) is being prepared for the USA market. There were several other reports on the subject as well, which speculate that it should be heading out in July. That puts the launch in the third quarter, part of the year when the competition heats up in the flagship market.
The teaser itself is pretty bare-bones with no details about the device whatsoever. The company just wrote “3” in the description and shared it on X, which is a pretty obvious hint at what’s about to come. As always, this could be the start of a saga, where the company teases more and more details about the device, one post after the other.
Soon we’ll know about the Nothing Phone new model's design, its specs, and most importantly, the rumored UI overhaul. In an interview, the Nothing CEO said that the R&D team has something big planned for their custom firmware, a “breakthrough innovation in the user interface.”
There are other rumors as well, saying that the Phone (3) won’t be alone, and it might share the stage with a Nothing Phone (3) Pro variant. It’s believable since the Phone (3a) also got a newer (3a) Pro sibling, which is a sign of Nothing’s transformation into a bigger company.
The internet has little to no info about the two flagship devices that are headed our way, but some features are going to remain the same over generations. The Nothing Phone (2), (3a), and 3a Pro could inspire a lot of upcoming features for the successors.
Phone (3) might come with essential space, which is something new the (3a) Pro debuted. There will be a premium AMOLED with a high refresh rate, and it’s always a possibility that the camera might be improved. We will keep an eye on both of these devices and report to our readers promptly as the story develops. So stay tuned for more news.
