HMD Global's Nokia is soon coming out with Nokia G10, the first in a new series of Nokia G phones. The G10 has already been featured in reports concerning its specifications. Plus, it has secured several product certifications, suggesting an upcoming launch.

According to NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia G10 could be the addition of possibly a whole new gaming phone lineup to the Nokia price list. The phone’s model number, TA-1334, has previously been certified in Russia, Germany, and Thailand. Most recently, the Nokia G10 was featured on an online Russian retail store.

Based on the certification documents and the NokiaPowerUser report, the G10 comes in single and dual SIM editions. It offers 4GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage, available in at least one blue colorway.

Nokia G10 also has other model names, including TA-1338, TA-1346, and TA-1351. The phone is reportedly powered by an octa-core chip, a 6.4” screen, and a 48MP quad-camera system. The exact battery details are unclear, but the G10 charges over a standard 10W.

More G10 specs should reveal themselves in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, note that the Nokia G10 might not mark the start of a new series but an overhaul of HMD Global’s current naming scheme.

HMD Global has a unique dot or point system to tell the phone’s generation and its series apart. The Chinese Nokia forum NokiaBar (@baidunokibar) says that starting from 2021, HMD will use a blend of letters and numbers to name their phones, much like the rest of the industry — Nokia G10 would be the first in line to adopt this new naming convention.  If you follow Nokia’s product catalog, you might be familiar with their entry-level Nokia C-series that uses the same method.
