OPPO Reno 7 series made new headlines yesterday when an industry source leaker published the specification sheets for Reno 7 models. The post has since been taken down, but it contradicts the previous leaks, muddying the waters somewhat. So the upcoming launch event might come with a few surprises.
The lineup features four models: OPPO Reno 7 SE, Reno7 Pro, Reno7 Pro+, and the standard Reno 7. Oppo partnered with MediaTek to customize the Dimensity 1200 chip inside the Reno 7 Pro+. But the original leak specified the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. It’s also possible that the domestic and international editions come with different chips.
Reno 7 Pro+ is powered by a 4500 mAh battery and 65W SuperVOOC charging. The body weighs 180g and measures only 7.45mm in thickness. Also included in the build are a 50MP wide camera and dual stereo speakers. No optical image stabilization is available on the cameras, however. The baseline Oppo Reno 7 Pro+ starts at CNY 3,000 (~ Rs. 80,200.)
The Pro variant of the Oppo Reno new model runs on Qualcomm silicon, the Snapdragon 778G to be specific. Reno7 Pro Plus is also hooked up to a 4500 mAh battery but the phone charges at 60W. The sensor behind the wide camera here is 64MP. It’s 7.6mm thick and weighs 185g.
Oppo Reno 7 adopts the Dimensity 900 chip but the same 4500 mAh battery and 64MP wide camera. The charging power is also trimmed down to 33W. The base version weighs in at 171g and measures 7.45mm in depth. We find 90Hz displays across the board.
