iPhone 17e Early Renders Reveal a Design Closely Matching the Base iPhone 17

iPhone 16e is the last Apple handset to sport a notch. Its successor is rumored to have a Dynamic Island instead, which is probably the most exciting aspect about the iPhone 17e. We have found some renders that show a completely new front look for this device.

These are probably fan-made renders, first seen on a famous Chinese publication. The leak is being cited by multiple publications, which lends the source some credibility. The images expose iPhone 17e from the front and back. You can see the new Dynamic Island cutout on the screen.

The rear has nothing out of the ordinary. We are stuck with a single lens on the back and just a barebones glass panel with the Apple logo printed in the middle. Safe to say, the only aesthetic change on the iPhone 17e is the front panel and the removal of the ugly U-notch.

Jeff Pu is another leaker who’s keeping tabs on iPhone's latest E model’s supply chain. He suggests that the selfie camera is getting a big upgrade. But the screen on this device is still 60Hz. Let’s get the camera improvements out of the way first, before jumping to the screen specs.

iPhone 16e scored a 12MP lens on the front, right next to the 3D depth mapper for face ID, last time. The device up next seems to use an 18MP selfie sensor, and it’s not just your ordinary camera. There’s a center stage feature baked in. They’ve aligned the camera with the main iPhone 17 series.

That single unit on the back could be a 48MP lens — no upgrades there. Jeff Pu also reported the Dynamic Island cutout on the iPhone 17e, and these new renders give an early preview. The screen is supposed to be a 6.1” dual-punch cutout OLED, just like its other siblings.

iPhone 17e is reported to have Apple A19 silicon, so it’s basically a flagship performer. Rumors about the Apple C2 Modem might’ve been wrong. Jeff Pu believes the old C1 Modem is making a comeback, and the N1 chip could help with wireless connectivity. These are all the details we have on the iPhone 17e so far. As soon as we find more information, we’ll let you know. Keep watching the news for updates.
