Smart 10 and Smart 10 Plus were a big hit in Pakistan. And they are still making sales on retail fronts. Infinix Smart 20 shouldn’t be any different, but that will hinge on its design. This newcomer was cleared by Google Play Console today, as models X6840 and X6840B. The listing exposed RAM and chipset, with several other specs.
X6840 and X6840B are two different variants (presumably) for different regions. This is more common than you think. Anyway, the Google Play Console database has been updated with the phone’s make and model, and you can clearly see Smart 20 slapped at the top.
This is enough evidence to confirm that the phone exists and the launch is guaranteed. That listing goes on to reveal 4GB RAM for the latest Infinix Smart mobile. It is a sub-entry-tier handset, so yes, the RAM is bare minimum. They might put a virtual RAM expansion option on the software, as always.
The chipset pulling the load here is a Helio G81. The name isn’t exactly specified anywhere, but the serial code MT6769 is definitely pointed at that chip. The boost clock on this SoC is 2.0 GHz, which is faster than the Smart 10’s 1.8GHz CPU. But the Mali-G52 GPU on Helio G81 is weaker.
GPC also dropped a clue about the screen. Smart 20 will stick to 720p because that’s the safer option with such a weak SoC. The size of the screen wasn’t there. Google has also spilled that the handset is built around the Android 16 system (possibly XOS 16).
This is only the beginning of pre-launch sightings for the Smart 20. We found another one of its certifications right after GPC’s clearance. It’s the TUV Rheinland database where the Smart 20 has been exposed to have a 5100mAh battery.
The cell is bigger than last time by about 100mAh, which is not a lot, but the upgrades are far and between in this category. Smart 10 had 15W charging as backup. So we may have something similar or better on Smart 20. Keep watching the news for updates.
