The launch of Huawei P60’s successor draws near. Enthusiasts expect an updated model in the company’s flagship lineup, dubbed Huawei P70. While an exact release date remains undisclosed, industry reports suggest a debut in the coming months, following the P60 series' March 2023 schedule.

Digital Chat Station, a reputable leak source, shared crucial insights into the upcoming Huawei P70. The flagship device may feature a massive 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a crystal-clear 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Audio lovers should expect immersive surround sound with dual front-facing speakers.

For imaging, the P70 boasts a distinctive triangular arrangement for its rear camera setup. Anchored by a formidable 50MP primary sensor and a variable aperture for superior light control, the configuration includes a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto shooter. Fueling these advanced features will be a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring prolonged usage.

Under the hood, the P70 likely utilizes a Kirin 9010 processor, Huawei's in-house chipset with integrated 5G support. The company plans to depart from the Snapdragon Chipsets used in the P60 series, signaling a potential return to proprietary chip production for Huawei's new flagship phones.

A noteworthy aspect of the P70 is its software. It will likely become one of the first phones in China to receive the HarmonyOS NEXT, representing a significant evolution for Huawei's operating system. This transition establishes HarmonyOS as an independent platform, moving away from its Android-based origins.

While the public version of HarmonyOS NEXT is slated for the second half of 2024, a beta version with over 5,000 available apps is already out. With all these alleged stats, the Huawei P70 is gaining attraction as an out-of-the-world flagship with a groundbreaking operating system.
