Honor X80 Pro Max Leaked with Key Specs; Expect 11,000mAh Battery & SD 6 Gen 5 Chip

There is more than one device in the Honor X80 series. We’ve been tracking down details about these phones, and it seems the X80i was already unveiled in April. And they plan to make the standard X80 official in June. Honor X80 Pro Max was a mystery until a leaker spilled its key specs today. This is everything we learned about it.

Apparently, the Honor X80 Pro Max has the biggest battery you’ve seen. It’s 11,000mAh typical rating, and the charging is a fast 90W input. It has reached the point where endurance is counted in days, not hours. Sadly, the leaker didn’t have the exact numbers.

Digital Chat Station did tell us in his post that the screen will be a 6.8” flat AMOLED with very thin bezels. There will be rounded corners, and the resolution of this particular display will be 2788 × 1280 pixels, or 1.5K as the industry advertises it.

The screen stats are not unheard of. But you should at least take note of the SoC. They might be planning to put a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 on this Honor latest X mobile. This Gen 5 platform was announced not long ago, and there have been very few devices with the same SoC. It’s a 2.6GHz octacore chip.

These specs put the Honor X80 Pro Max squarely in the midrange. DCS also reported full water resistance for it. We assume it’s IP68 or above. Then comes the shockproof design. The phone can take a hit or two when it falls. And the leaker also said something about flagship-level biometric authentication for the X80 Pro Max.

The specs sheet obviously has some gaps, but it’s safe to assume that this newcomer has a lot in common with the basic Honor X80. Apparently, that device is also said to be using the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip.

The battery is just a tad smaller on the Honor X80 at 10,000mAh, not that it’s something to scoff at on its own. The screen seems to be the exact same 6.8” AMOLED on both of these newcomers. More specs will surely appear in leaks later on. Keep watching the news for updates.
