Honor X80 Pro Max Appears on China Telecom Ahead of Its June 22 Launch

China Telecom has exposed some of the Honor X80 Pro Max’s specs today. The phone is supposed to debut in the next two days, on June 22nd. That’s the official Chinese launch date. The timing couldn’t have been better. This is everything we learned from the Telecom listing.

We’ve known for a while that the Honor X80 Pro Max is a world’s first in at least two categories, and Honor’s first in one. This is one of the first phones to use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip, and China Telecom has once again confirmed that very same chipset on the Honor X80 Pro Max.

Honor itself teased 10,000 nits peak brightness on the Honor latest X model, which is the brightest a mobile screen has ever reached. China Telecom has actually given us the size of that screen. It’s a 6.8” OLED. None of its other specs have been found as of yet, but the launch should reveal everything in two days.

The phone is supposed to have the biggest battery they’ve ever put on an Honor handset. They’ve already teased the number. It’s a goliath 11,000mAh cell that has a 90W input for charging, but it can also do reverse charging on its own at 27W max output.

Color options and design were also shown in said teasers. Lightning Red and Moon White are the main ones. There’s also a Vitality Orange and something called a Xuanjia Black. These were found on Honor’s official Weibo page, so they are accurate marketing names.

There’s a rumor that the X80 Pro Max is actually using a flagship fingerprint reader. That’s a vague statement, but it could mean an Ultrasonic ID. And we could potentially see a 50MP main camera on the handset, and the frame rated for full water and dust safety. Of course, we’ll do a full coverage at launch. Keep watching the news for updates.
