Yes, the Honor Robot Phone has been given an official launch date. It’s supposed to debut on August 12th, which is about a week away. The company did reveal the camera details in late July, but not the rest of its specs. So the leakers got to work searching the specs on their own. Digital Chat Station found almost all of them.

A leak was seen today by DCS on Weibo. What we found is all flagship hardware on the Robot Phone. And it makes sense too. The phone has the best camera gear ever put on a mobile. We are sure you’ve heard plenty about the Gimbal stabilization system already, so we’ll spare the rerun.

DCS said that Honor Robot new model is built around a tiny 6.3” screen. It’s a flat OLED. And there’s a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate. The screen’s resolution is said to be 1216x2640px or 1.5K. There’s also 6800nits peak brightness here. And DCS tipped an anti-reflective coating on the display.

The gimbal system has a dedicated second chip, but the main SoC on this newcomer will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Adreno 840 GPU and 4.61GHz boost clock on the CPU output the best performance feasible on Android. It’s not the only chip in there.

That’s besides the C1, H1, and E2 chips that manage power and network. The H1 is their custom chip that does image processing. The chassis is not big, but DCS pegs a 7060mAh battery on the Robot Phone. Though we’ve heard rumors saying otherwise. A 6000mAh cell is also a possibility.

Anyway, they are sure to put a 120W wired charging system on the handset. The base RAM will be 12GB with 512GB of onboard storage. The most cranked up verison will get 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. The gimbal has a 200MP camera, and there’s also a 200MP sensor under the telephoto. We’ll learn about its price soon enough. Keep watching the news for more updates.
