Honor Power 2 will launch on January 5th, which is two days away. The company has confirmed a few specs through their teasers, but not the full hardware list. A premature carrier listing in China went deep into Honor Power 2’s specs and exposed almost everything about it publicly.

The phone’s design was already shown in the promos with an odd camera layout, and we have its specifications with us today. The Main lens, which is probably that giant right-side crater on the camera island, is 50MP. Then comes the second 5MP (likely ultrawide) lens.
We have a punch hole on the screen that seems to be a 16MP selfie. That screen, by the way, is an OLED 6.79” panel with 1.5K resolution. The carrier listing didn’t say what refresh rate this phone will use. But we assume it’s either 120Hz or 144Hz.

Dimensity 8500 hasn’t been unveiled so far, at least not through the official channel. Perhaps, they want Honor's new flagship mobile to make the chipset official. Reports say this new platform yields a 7% performance gain, so you are not getting much of an upgrade over the D8400.
The listing also gave up the RAM, which is 12GB on the Honor Power 2. That’s either tied with 256GB or 512GB storage on the only two memory trims it has. The teasers had verified the 10,080mAh battery before. There’s only 7.89mm of thickness mentioned on the listing, which means the design is not affected by its huge battery.

Phantom Black, Snow White, and Rising Sun Orange are the possible color options for the Honor Power 2. The carrier page ended the hardware sheet here, but there are more leaks on the internet from which we can extract information.
It’s being reported that the Honor Power 2 has a simple optical fingerprint sensor ID and NFC support. The charger this phone uses to replenish its 10,080mAh battery is actually 80W. This is fast enough on standard devices, but the Power 2 might take some time for refills.
