Honor Play 60 5G debuted in April. It had all the entry-level specs and a budget price. The same model is referred to as Play 60m in some regions. The lineup is going to expand with a new phone, called Honor Play 60A 5G. We just saw this device on a Chinese certification. Here’s what we know.

NLA-AN00 is the model number referenced in the China Telecom listing, though the moniker isn’t seen anywhere in the document. The hearsay suggests it could be the Honor Play 60A. This device seems to have a far leaner design than the original Play 60.
The certifier recorder Honor Play 60A’s thickness at 7.89mm (vs. 8.4mm on the Play 60). That’s a big difference. And of course, it also affects the weight, which is 186 grams for the newcomer. The design is definitely an improvement, but there’s a downside to this.

They had to cut back on the battery capacity to keep the phone thin. The power pack size goes down from 6000mAh to 5130mAh, so the endurance won’t be as good on this Honor new budget model. The display is also a bit bigger here, but the rest of the setup is pretty much the same as before.

The Play 60A gets you a 6.75” IPS LCD that’s driving a low-end HD+ 720p resolution. These specs were given on the telecom listing, so they are pretty much set in stone. The display is handled by a 2.2GHz octa-core platform — no name provided on the listing.

They slapped 5G on the moniker, so we assume this phone will have a 5G-ready chip. And the camera quality on this device suffers all the same. An identical 13MP main and 5MP selfie camera setup is used on both Play 6 and Play 6A.
The maximum RAM on this device is 6GB, and the storage mentioned on the listing was 128GB. The variety is a little shorter than before. There are probably more than one trim, but we have to wait for more leaks for confirmation. Keep watching the news for updates.
