The Honor 90 series debuted in China recently and is also due for global release on July 6. Ahead of that, a surprise addition to the lineup has caught our attention. The newcomer debuted globally monikered as Honor 90 Lite. And it offers a slew of enticing features. Here’s a review.

The handset draws power from a Dimensity 6020 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Another notable highlight is the display, enlarged to 6.7 inches with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front features a punch-hole cutout housing a 16MP selfie camera.

On the rearing end, the Honor 90 Lite sports a 100MP primary camera with an f/1.9 lens, capturing detailed photos in low light conditions. There is also a 5MP ultra-wide camera assisting the alpha unit. Though its resolution is above standard, the video recording is limited to 1080p.

Honor 90 Lite comes with a 4,500mAh battery, trading off the capacity for faster charging. It can reach 55% charge in just 30 minutes with a compatible 35W Honor SuperCharger. The Honor new 5G model is lighter and slimmer due to a smaller battery, weighing 179g and measuring 7.48mm.

The Honor 90 Lite features a USB-C port. Since there is no support for a barrel audio plug, the charging port also serves as a headphone jack with an adapter. The device carries Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications and features a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Color options for the Honor 90 Lite include Cyan Lake, Titanium Silver, and Midnight Black. With its powerful performance, improved display, enhanced cameras, and fast charging capabilities, the Honor 90 Lite makes a perfect addition to the Honor 90 lineup. With availability in the UK and several European countries, the device is retailing for £300 (~PKR 110,000).
