Some new details have appeared in the past hours regarding the Honor 500 Pro. The newcomer had its camera and battery specs leaked. And the phone is more powerful than you think. Also, the company has opened pre-orders for the Honor 500 Pro in China, and its design is laid bare on the website.
Digital Chat Station has found the specs early. He dropped a Weibo post that says Honor 500 Pro is built around a 6.55” AMOLED that is 1.5K in resolution, with 120Hz refresh speed. The design shows a non-disruptive punch hole. And the black borders are razor thin.
This isn’t really a flagship phone, so Honor is going with a year-old Snapdragon 8 Elite chip on the 500 Pro. DCS exposed a custom C1 modem that the phone uses to manage connectivity. There’s also a dedicated E2 chip here that’s used for battery management.
They are going to pair that main silicon with 1TB storage and 16GB RAM. That panel up front may score an ultrasonic fingerprint. The last bit of detail we found in the leak is the battery. There’s apparently an 8000 mAh cell in this Honor new flagship model. It’s probably a Si/C power pack to keep the phone thin.
DCS had commented on the phone’s camera in his previous post, and now we have found a new leak to corroborate those past rumors. There’s indeed a 200MP Main camera on this phone, but it’s Samsung’s HP3 sensor, not the latest HP5.
There’s also a 12MP ultrawide shooter here. The most exciting one is probably the 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope shooter on the back. Its selfie camera is also reported to be 50MP. Now, these are still rumored specs. So take them with a pinch of salt until they are confirmed through a product listing.
We have come across other leaks that suggest Android 16 is coming to the Honor 500 Pro. We may even see 80W wired and 50W wireless charging on this model. They will announce the phone in the next few days. We’ll see how accurate these leaks actually are. Keep watching the news.
