A supply chain report weeks ago predicted that iPhone 17e will not feature Dynamic Island. The leak was accurate. The device has finally debuted with the traditional notch and Face ID. This new handset is actually run by the latest Apple A19 silicon, not the older A18. You get a weaker 4-core GPU here, so it doesn’t really compare with the vanilla iPhone 17. iPhone 16e came with Apple’s custom C1 modem, which is now upgraded to C1X on the iPhone 17e.
