Vivo IQOO 3 5G Appears in a Hands-On Official Video Just days Ahead of Its Official Launch

Vivo’s gaming-centric sub-brand iQOO has introduced IQOO 3 5G -- their first Snapdragon-865-touting model -- in a hands-on video teaser. Although the teaser doesn’t showcase the device, we have a pretty good ‘feel’ for it, thanks to numerous leaks and rumors.

Ever since its inception last year, IQOO has built its brand around robust, performance-first phones offered at competitive prices. And Vivo IQOO 3 5G is no exception. IQOO paired 12 GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage with an SD865 chipset, with support for the modular X55 5G modem (since Qualcomm doesn’t integrate it into the SoC). Because OEM can’t use a 4G modem with a Snapdragon 865 processor, all phones powered by this SoC are, by default, 5G. But IQOO has tweaked the SD865 in their iteration to offer both 4G and 5G editions for IQOO 3 5G.

As for the video, it blurs out the device, and only shows you people’s reactions to it. If their responses are anything to go by, the IQOO 3 5G is a beast in terms of performance and is expected to be offered at an affordable Vivo price

The phone features a single punch-hole display, a minimal chin, and razor-thin bezels. The rear-shell offers a ‘light ray’ gradient design in Volcano Orange, Tornado Black, Quantum Silver color options, alongside a quad-camera system.

The camera setup is housed inside a bump ‘heavily inspired’ by Samsung’s S20 design. The lenses are arranged in an identical L-shaped layout with the LED flash on top. The primary of these four is a 48-megapixel shooter, paired with an 8MP + 13MP + 2MP combination. The back-facing panel is bare save for IQOO’s branding since the fingerprint reader rests under the display.

Powering this hardware is a 4,400 mAh battery that supports up to 55W fast-charging. The phone scheduled for an official launch on February 25 simultaneously at launch events in China and India.
