240W Ultra Fast Charging Technology Under Development; 0% to 100% in 9 Minutes

Since the introduction of SuperVooc charging back in 2014, Oppo has always been among the leading companies in fast charging technology. According to recent reports, Oppo has been allegedly working to develop an insane 240W fast charging mechanics that can top up a 4,500 mAh battery from 0% to 100% in just nine minutes!

At the MCW 2022, Oppo also showcased this latest SuperVooc mechanism, and the technology is expected to trickle down to some retail market devices very soon. Reports claim that the Chinese manufacturer has already advanced to the trial production batch for the insane 240W chargers, and they will be operating at 24 V or 10 A.

Looking at the current market, the Xiaomi 11T Pro and Vivo iQOO 9 are some of the quickest charging phones supporting 120 watts of extremely fast charging, capable to top up these devices to a 100% in seventeen minutes. Expect the latest tech to join the OPPO price list pretty soon.

Another noticeable aspect is that Vivo’s soon going to drop its iQOO 10 Pro in the global market, which is expected to support a staggering 200 watts of ultra FlashCharging. The sources suggest this technology could fully juice up a sizeable battery in a mere 12 minutes.

Although Oppo has only demonstrated the 240W mechanism as a prototype, it is soon going to implement it in its upcoming flagship handsets, most probably the X-series devices. Fast charging technology has been advancing by leaps and bounds in recent years. However, there’s a limitation to what extent this speedy juicing-up is safe to use.

Let’s wait and watch until a smartphone supporting this technology hits the scene and finally lands in the Pakistani market.
