The Xiaomi Redmi A2 signs on to Google Play Console, marking its imminent arrival on the Global scale. For budget-conscious Android users, the newcomer's arrival is exciting news. It sets out to replace the current Redmi A1 — a popular choice among those seeking an affordable yet capable smartphone.

GPC listing confirms numerous details about Redmi A2. Firstly, it verifies the phone's model number, 23026RN54G; the antecedent "G" means it's a global variant. Secondly, it spilled details about the newcomer's hardware specifications. Have a look.

Under the hood, the oncoming Redmi A2 sports MediaTek Helio G36 engine, peaking at the higher clock speeds of 2.3GHz and base clock speeds of 1.8GHz. Integrated with the SoC is a patent PowerVR GE8320 GPU, which should significantly improve its system performance.

A2's operating system will be the lightweight Android 13 Go, with a low-capacity 2GB RAM and likely 32GB storage. Xiaomi will endow the newcomer with an HD+ resolution with up to 320DPI pixel density. It's worth checking out Xiaomi smartphone prices if you're looking for a high-quality phone that won't break the bank.

Additionally, the product image attached to the file indicates the display has a punch-hole cutout, in contrast to the precursor's drop-notch camera housing. It contradicts some of the rumor mill's previous claims, which suggested that the Redmi A2 would be virtually identical in appearance to its predecessor, the A1.

As per the earlier reports, Redmi A2 will likely feature a 6.52-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720px), an 8MP primary camera on the back followed by a 2MP secondary depth mapper, and a 5MP selfie shooter.

In line with the previous A-series, the fingerprint reader will remain exclusive to Redmi A2+. In essentials, the standard A2 is likely to bear a 5000mAh cell, 3.5mm audio port, and 10W charging support. The rest of its features are yet to uncover.
