With Xiaomi flagships out of the way, Redmi entry-level segment is the center of attention for the company these days. Reportedly, Redmi A1 and A1+ substitutes are under R&D, bound to unveil soon. The runner-up series will include the Redmi A2 Plus and A2, as indicated by multiple certifications listings. Here’s everything we know about the newcomers.

Redmi A2 Plus and A2 are in their testing phase. NBTC has approved both devices for launch in Thailand. Their model numbers, 23028RN4DG and 23028RNCAG, indicate they are both Global variants.

The same models have surfaced on TUV Rheinland’s link. EEC, the Eurasian Economic Commission, listed the higher-end sib A2 Plus in their database marking its imminent arrival in Europe. The certifiers may not have provided the most revealing information about the series, but they have confirmed it will be international.

The leak circle is touting the new budget Xiaomi mobile as a cloned copy of the Redmi A1. Their builds seem identical, with little to no change. Allegedly, It’s the same case with Redmi A2 Plus. While they may inherit their looks from forerunners, they will indeed feature incremental upgrades in terms of specs and performance.

According to reports, Redmi A2 has MediaTek’s relatively recent Helio G36 SoC. Compared to Helio A22, it’s better at Processing, Multitasking, and Graphics. Apart from the bonus back-mounted fingerprint reader, the A2 Plus users will get the same experience as the vanilla A2.

With a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen and HD+ resolution, expect Redmi A2 to boast an 8MP primary camera, a secondary depth sensor, a 5MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. The phone is likely to feature micro-USB. All these stats are speculative; no way to know for sure until the series unveils. But what is certain is the price of Xiaomi redmi 10C in Pakistan as the phone is readily available and quite popular among domestic Redmi fans.
