Xiaomi’s sub in Portugal updates its website with a Redmi 12 listing, a highly-anticipated budget smartphone from the manufacturer. The dedicated page revealed the moniker, corresponding specs, and the device's price. The Xiaomi Redmi 12 appeared shortly on the link before vanishing, leaving traces of it online.

Xiaomi Portugal inadvertently unveiled the specifications of the Redmi 12. Kacper Skrzypek, the keen-eyed observer who stumbled upon this listing, quoted every intricate detail of the Redmi 12 in his latest Tweet. Xiaomiui also published an article quoting the unveiled specs, lending credibility to his Twitter post.

With a captivating 6.79-inch display, the Redmi 12 flaunts a centered punch-hole cutout with an FHD+ resolution and a mesmerizing 90Hz refresh rate. Conveniently, the phone’s side-mounted fingerprint scanner finds its place atop the power button. The screen’s dead-pixel cutout’s primed with an 8MP sensor.

On the back panel of Redmi 12, users will find a set of three camera sensors mounted with a 50MP primary, 8MP secondary, and a 2MP tertiary unit. Paired with an LED flash on the back, the camera impresses, bearing a triangular configuration without any residual bump. When comparing the Xiaomi mobile price to other brands, it offers excellent value for money.

Beneath the surface, the Redmi 12 conceals a mighty MediaTek Helio G88 processor. Buyers can indulge in either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB storage capacities. Energizing the phone is a robust 5,000mAh battery anchored to an 18-watt fast charging kit.

Running on Google’s latest Android 13 OS, this device arrived with MIUI 14 right out of the box. In Portugal, the Redmi 12 makes its presence known, bearing a price tag of €209.99 (~PKR 64,000) for the base variant in Blue, Silver, and Black hues.
