The upcoming Xiaomi Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro 5G are the talk of the town these days. Although Xiaomi has yet to drop the official confirmation, these new smartphones have been making waves across certifications, including Thailand’s NBTC, BIS, and now, the FCC.

The FCC listing spills some intriguing details about the Poco X6 Pro 5G, hinting at a potential rebrand of the Xiaomi Redmi K70E. The smartphone will run on HyperOS 1.0 and offer three different storage variants. What caught our attention was the variation in build materials based on the storage configurations.

The X6 Pro’s 12GB RAM + 512GB and the 8GB RAM + 256GB variants are both set to feature a plastic frame, confirming yet another similarity with the Redmi K70E. However, the phone has a secondary 12GB RAM + 512GB variant popping out with a PU (polyurethane) build.

The plastic frame choice seems unusual for the new Xiaomi Poco mobile, but it aligns with the speculated identity as a rebranded Redmi K70E. While awaiting official confirmation, it appears that the Poco X6 Pro 5G is poised to mirror its Redmi counterpart not only in build but potentially in specifications.

Speaking of expected specs, the Poco X6 5G has recently surfaced on Geekbench, revealing a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, 12GB RAM, and Android 13 in its arsenal. Meanwhile, the anticipated features for the Poco X6 Pro 5G include a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC.

The camera setup on X6 Pro will likely include a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. With a speculated 5,100mAh battery, 67W fast charging, and an expected price starting at $282. Stay tuned for official confirmation and more in-depth details as they unfold.
