The fan-favorite sub-flagship line by Xiaomi Poco will soon produce two new variants, POCO X5 and X5 Pro, likely by the end of January 2023. Leak-verse speculates vanilla Poco X5 to announce as a rebranded Redmi Note 12 5G. Here's what we've gathered so far on both phones.

A new leak from a renowned tipster Kacper Skrzypek reveals that Xiaomi Poco X5 will be similar to the Redmi Note 12 5G but will have a different chip. Kacper Skrzypek has also denuded essential details about the Poco X5 Pro. According to him, there will be a global release of the Redmi Note 12 5G, which currently retails in China. Cut to Poco X5 5G, codenamed "moonstone," the model shares the RAM and ROM with the alleged global Redmi Note 12 5G.

Although they share similar designs and stats, Poco X5 abounds with the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset instead of SD 4 Gen 1. If the details provided by the tipster are valid, the user will find X5 with a Note 12-like build, an FHD+ 120Hz display, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W charging.

The Pro X5 sibling, on the other hand, is promising Snapdragon 778G processor in the leaks. The tipster states that the new Xiaomi Poco mobile will launch as a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G variant for global retail. If Skrzypek's claim holds any weight, the new Pro Poco will boast similar features to Note 12 Pro.

To recall, Redmi Note 12 Pro fashions a premium build with a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 778G SoC, max 256Gigs storage, max 12Gigs RAM, a 108MP Alpha camera, 16MP selfie shooter, and a 5,000mAh cell (67W charging). Though targeted at a different market, the recently launched 10C also packs a 5,000mAh battery but with a mere 10W charging. Xiaomi Redmi 10C's budget-friendly price makes it a winner despite lacking top-notch specs.
