Following the launch of The Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus in Pakistan, Poco is at work, R&D-ing the next addition to their fan-favored X-series. Ever since the POCO X4 series launch, two new models bearing the monikers X5 and X5 Pro have been under constant surveillance by the rumor mill. FCC and BIS have already indexed their model numbers for certifications. And now, the latter has made it to the IMEI database indicating a nearing launch.

On the latest IMEI listing, the device bearing model number 22101320G carries the POCO X5 Pro 5G moniker. It likely belongs to the global version of the device, as clearly indicated by the letter "G" at the end of its model number. Another model with the letter "I" at the end also exists.

Mukul Sharma, the spotter of the listing and a renowned tipster in web-wide leak circles, claims that a 5000mAh cell is likely on the Pro X5 model. He adds that the phone will draw power from a Snapdragon 782G chipset backed by up to 67W charging.

In case you didn't know, the aborning addendum to the Xiaomi price catalog packs Snapdragon 782G under the hood which is essentially a rehashed Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. It's 6nm node-based, meaning it's battery efficient. And it boasts a 5% faster CPU performance and a 10% faster GPU performance.

The Poco X5 Pro 5G in other areas seems imminent with a 120Hz IPS panel which is a radical downgrade from its predecessor's Supre AMOLED panel. For a quick comparison, here's a breakdown of X4 Pro's feature list.

Poco X4 Pro 5G, the ancestor, featured a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with silk-like smooth animations on 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. It packed a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for visuals and operations. Due to Pakistan's non-5G disposition and economic interferences, X4 pro didn't land in Pakistan.
