Following Poco M5s' eventful settlement into the global market, rumors about a new POCO M4 Pro cousin are stirring the internet. Allegedly, it's the successor to Poco's fan-favored X4 Pro 5G, going by X5 5G. Over a month ago, the phone appeared on multiple listings under two particular model numbers.

Presumably, Xiaomi's Poco X5 5G carries the number "22101320G" for global and "22101320C" for its Chinese moniker. The latter will debut as a Redmi series phone in China. In the latest news, X5 5G has appeared on BIS and FCC databases, indicating the nearing launch, and giving away its blueprint and essentials.

In the blueprint, X5 5G boasts a bar-shaped camera plate perfectly aligned with the phone's top-left corner. Instead of the traditional rounded shape, its fuselage has jagged corners.

Info that's ratted out also includes battery stats of the new 5G Xiaomi mobile. The upcoming Poco Model features a 4900mAh cell under the hood, which the brand will probably advertise as a rounded-off figure, 5000mAh. The FCC database also revealed X5's comm specs and wireless connectivity.

Amid the wireless stats, the phone showcases dual-band Wi-Fi and a 5G antenna rated for n5, n7, n38, n41, n77, & n78 bands. The most notable stat on its FCC document is the Android 13 x MIUI 14 support right out of the box. Other than that, there's nothing on the listings worth painting out.

For the past weeks, Rumor-mill has been at work gradually building the phone's manifest. Based on the leaked info, X5 5G will sport a 120Hz IPS panel followed by a powerful Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset at its helm. There's still no word on its price, launch timeline, storage options, or colorways. But the info is bound to leak soon. So stay tuned.
