Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max never made it to the global market for some reason. Maybe it was safer to test the rear display design in China first. The basic Xiaomi 17 was the only exception. But that will change in 2026. Official EEC listings put the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and vanilla 18 on the global track.
Xiaomi 18 Pro was seen more than once on global certification listings, which meant a definite international launch. Since no listings were made for the Pro Max, experts assumed the worst. But seeing the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max on the EEC database today disproves earlier claims, which is good news.
This phone will make it to the global market after all. Europe will be one of the regions where the Pro Max and basic Xiaomi 18 will debut. EEC listings have also shown the exact model numbers associated with these two handsets.
2609BPN61G with the letter G at the end is the model number for the global Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, and the code 2611FPNFAG is the basic Xiaomi 18. That’s what the leaker wrote on his X post. The actual EEC listings didn’t have the exact devices’ names. Looking for a new Xiaomi phone? View the updated Xiaomi smartphone prices in Pakistan all in one place.
All three phones will debut in China first, obviously. We believe this will happen in September. It’s possible that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max will put the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro onboard, and the basic Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will be given to the vanilla Xiaomi 18.
From what we’ve seen and heard, it is assumed that both Pro versions are due for a similar camera setup that possibly uses a 200MP main camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto, next to a 50MP ultrawide lens. There are some rumors pegging a 200MP main camera on the basic Xiaomi 18 as well.
Battery sizes will vary, of course. The exact numbers haven’t been guessed by any leaker so far. But the Pro and Pro Max should have more than 7,000 mAh total capacity according to some preliminary reports. This is only a theory. We’ll get back to you when we have more details. Keep watching the news for more updates.
