Xiaomi 17 Max Surfaces with More Details, Launch Tipped for Late May

There’s still one more device in the Xiaomi 17 series that hasn’t launched yet. Apparently, the company plans to release a phone called Xiaomi 17 Max by late May. Digital Chat Station has been sniffing out details on this device for a while now. And this is what we found in his latest report.

It will arrive in China, although it hasn’t been made clear if it will launch globally. Of course, the teaser spree will begin first, most likely in the first week of May. And per the schedule the leaker gave on Weibo, Xiaomi 17 Max could debut in the second half of May.

The specs have been rumored many times, a few times by the same source. DCS has obviously been on the phone’s tail for a while. He has a solid track record to back his claims. So the details sound pretty accurate. Xiaomi 17 Max will put a 6.9” huge flat OLED on the front.

This will be a 1.5K resolution OLED. The screen has been made with LIPO tech, which means the bezels will be very slim and symmetrical on all sides. This could be a near bezel-free display. Or at least that’s the impression the leaker gave us in his leak. The latest Xiaomi Mobile Phones prices in Pakistan are updated regularly in our website.

This is not the Pro phone. In fact, we’ve been pegging this device as a bigger brother of the vanilla Xiaomi 17. That’s probably why the rear screen is missing from this handset. Xiaomi 17 Max could use that extra space for a bigger battery, though.

The leaker says there will be an 8000mAh battery inside it, or something within the range. That means Xiaomi 17 Max will have the best battery out of all four flagships. There seems to be a 100W wired charging support on the handset with 50W wireless charging.

There’s no performance gap. All the other 17 series phones have had the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and so will the Xiaomi 17 Max. And we hear rumors of a 200MP Samsung HPE sensor, next to a 50MP 3X telephoto and 50MP ultrawide shooter. Xiaomi could start teasing the handset shortly. Keep watching the news for updates.
