Xiaomi's 13 Ultra nears its debut at light speed. Before the official unveiling, the company keeps teasing the flagship beast. On its official Weibo handle, Xiaomi gave away the phone’s design via detailed renders and graphic images — true to the 3D mockups we discovered in leaks earlier.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra boasts a daring and distinctive proprietary design that sets it apart from your average daily driver handset. The metal alloy casing adorned with a second-generation faux leather layer lends it an air of top-of-the-line luxury. Additionally, the phone has an antibacterial and anti-yellowing coating that ensures cleanliness and quality endurance.

The chain’s upcoming handset is not just a daily driver but aims to be a dynamic and innovative combination of a point-and-shoot camera and a smartphone. The disc-shaped module on the phone bears the iconic Leica mark, expertly etched sideways, subtly indicating that the optimal way to hold the phone is horizontally, much like the traditional DSLR cameras.

The faux leather touch on the Xiaomi Ultra new model's back panel is another major exchange between the universe of smartphones and legacy cameras. Design aside; the company has exuded almost everything there is to know about the 13 Ultra’s hardware, including camera stats.

The newcomer draws energy from a 5000mAh cell intended for 90W power input wired and 50W power input wireless. Secured with heat dissipation tech, Xiaomi 13 Ultra can shoot 4k 60 FPS video continuously without lags and frame drops.

At the front and center is the device’s camera module, which packs four equally impressive sensors, a 50MP IMX989 flagship alpha shooter with mechanical variable dual apertures (f/1.9 and f/4.0) followed by three IMX858 sensors of which two will be zoomers, and one will be ultra-wide.

It also shines in the province of core hardware specs, featuring the bleeding-edge LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash memory tech going as high as 16GB and 1TB. To top it all off, MI 13 Ultra has an unrivaled Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, and Its IP68 rating further cements its status as an ultra-enthusiast flagship killer. The handset will take the stage on the 18th of April, and the keynote shall unveil where it will be available and at what cost. So stay tuned.
