Xiaomi’s flagship lineup for 2023 broke cover in February with three contenders: the MI 13, MI 13 Pro, and MI 13 Lite. Their global unveil in Barcelona set the industry standard for modern flagships with their bleeding-edge hardware. While the three handsets make a pretty good team on their own:  the fourth model is yet to join the ranks as the leading MI sibling.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra, as they call it, is making headlines on the internet lately with alleged renders and a real-life, hands-on photo. Similar to last year, the primary focus of this device is its camera tech, as reflected by that out-of-the-world exterior design.

In that immense camera zone, MI 13 Ultra packs a triple-lens setup, all-encompassed by LEICA-calibrated hardware. In addition to the usual camera bump, the phone features an extended sensor depth by extruding the upper half of its body. The seemingly unusual design could help improve the phone’s photography.

Aside from design, the phone will stand out with its massive 5,000mAh battery. Even with ultra-heavy usage, this battery will keep the Xiaomi New Ultra Model running for extended durations; plus, with the super-fast charging tech on the rise, the phone is likely to amaze when plugged in.

No one knows what its cost will be. However, speculations suggest that the newcomer will cost way less than the current Ultra flagships ruling the market. Inspiration for the phone’s core specifications will come from its siblings Mi 13 series, which means SD 8 Gen 2, Android 13, and extreme RAM and ROM capacities.
