Last year’s Mi 11 Ultra was a huge success, and Xiaomi is all set to take the market by storm with the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Recent leaks from Yogesh Brar showcase some of the most highlighted features of the phone.

The latest Ultra variant of the Xiaomi 12 lineup is expected to rock identical camera hardware as the Mi 11 Ultra. It translates to a 50 MP main, a 48 MP periscope telephoto, and a 48MP ultrawide lens. However, there is an additional (fourth) 3D ToF sensor, making it a quad camera setup. The inclusion of an AMOLED selfie display on the rear is still unconfirmed, but the selfie shooter is tipped to be an unvaried 20MP sensor carried over from the Mi 11 Ultra.

The latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will most likely power the Xiaomi 12 Ultra along with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a combination of 8/12GB RAM with 128/256GB internal capacity. The phone is rumored to run Android 12 out of the box with MIUI 13 skin on top.

The display of the latest 5G Xiaomi mobile is also expected to boast a flashier 6.73’’ LTPO AMOLED panel with Quad HD+ (1440 x 3200 pixel) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1 Billion colors, just like the recently launched Xiaomi 12 Pro.

According to the leaks, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will pack a mighty 4800 mAh Li-Po cell with support for 67W wired and 50W wireless TurboCharge, unlike the 120W HyperCharge technology on this year’s Pro model.

Another aspect to notice in the rumored images is the leather-textured back with red Leica branding. This is because Xiaomi has announced to partner with Leica. And we have yet to see what significant camera improvements it will bring, as the latest Ultra flagship is expected to roll out in July.
