Vivo Y55 Officially Teased In Pakistan; Launch Date Revealed

Vivo's Y-series of smartphones is specifically targeted toward the youngsters, aiming to provide them a superior experience on a budget. The newest member of the Y lineup, Vivo Y55, amassed a positive response after its global launch. Now, Vivo has begun teasing some of its key features on Pakistani social-media platforms, hinting at an imminent launch in the Pakistani market.

We have already covered the Vivo Y55 4G in much detail previously, so we’ll keep the specs part brief. Focusing on the official teasers, Vivo has been marketing the classy design and clear cameras. The device feels premium to the touch due to a delicate frosted texture developed using innovative AG technology. It also delivers an under-display fingerprint scanner first time for a Y-series smartphone.

A triple camera layout residing within dual circular rings embellishes the device's rear. The cluster includes a 50 MP primary lens, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth sensors. Vivo has also bragged about the charging speed of the Y55 4G. We know the device will feature a 5,000mAh battery energized by 44W Flash charging.


Looking at the other features, the Y55 boasts a Snapdragon 680 chipset and an Adreno 610 GPU with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM configuration. It offers a fast UFS 2.1 storage and runs on FunTouch OS 12 based on Android 12. The front panel is a 6.4’’ FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, 408 PPI density, and support for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It also comes with a dedicated MicroSD slot for storage expansion.

The Vivo Y55 4G will hit the Pakistani market's shelves on the 2nd of July. The handset carries a Vivo mobile price tag of Rs 49,999 and would be offered in Ice Dawn and Midnight Galaxy color variants.
