Vivo Y400 Soon to Arrive in Pakistan with IP69 Rating, 120Hz AMOLED & 44W Charging

Get ready for another durability-focused smartphone release in Pakistan. Vivo is about to launch the Vivo Y400 4G in the local market with an IP69 rating. It shares the design and most of the specs with the premium V50 Lite 4G, except for the charging speeds and the selfie camera. Before the company makes it official, likely within the next week, here’s everything you should know about Vivo Y400 (4G).

For a phone on a budget, the Y400 has durability chops of a flagship phone. An IP69 rating is the holy grail of dust and water protection. The IPX9 factor means you can submerge this phone underwater at a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Apparently, it’s also safe from hot water jets of up to 80°C.

This newcomer is designed for underwater photography, so it uses the Wet-hand Touch feature for an accurate screen control. IP6X protection means no debris can enter this phone if you are on a beach, caught in a sandstorm, or working in construction.

The new Vivo 4G mobile doesn’t have an edge profile like the Pro version. It sits on the lower end with a flat 6.67” AMOLED that brings you 1080p FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its DCI-P3 color gamut range is 100% and the phone hits 1800 nits peak brightness in well-lit environments.

Vivo dropped a Snapdragon 685 chip inside the Y400, which renders it a 4G phone. This is a 6nm chip from 2023 with eight cores and a 2.8GHz peak clock speed. The CPU processing speeds get a pass, but the integrated Adreno 610 GPU falls flat in gaming performance and visual fidelity.

The first camera, sitting on a larger cushion-shaped lens, is a 50MP Sony IMX852 — a decent shooter with a static 1/2.96” aperture. The other lens carries a 2MP depth mapper that doesn’t function on its own, but helps with bokeh shots. The selfie camera is 8MP.

Vivo Y400 has an Android 15 x Funtouch OS 15 system, which is stacked with AI features to enhance your photos. It’s quite thin at 7.9mm, yet still possesses a 6000mAh battery under the shell. It even supports 44W fast charging. The Vivo Y300, on the other hand, is expected to launch as a more affordable model with an equalized mix of functionality and elegance. It’s coming to Pakistan in Dynamic Green and Pearl White (the dominant color). The exact launch date and price tag will be revealed later. Keep watching the news.
