Vivo Y19s 5G Unveiled with Faster Dimensity 6300 Chip and 6000mAh Battery

Vivo dropped a Y19s device in Pakistan back in November 2024, but it was a slow 4G variant. It took them a whole year for an upgrade, but now there’s a 2025 Vivo Y19s 5G device in the global market with a Dimensity 6300 chip and Android 15. It just debuted in an Asian country, and here are the details you should know.

We have to preface this news by saying the device has launched in India first, but it won’t stay stuck in that market for long. Y19s will eventually debut in more countries in just a matter of days, and we can finally put the phone’s 4G version behind us. Anyway, these are the specifications on the newer model.

Vivo scrapped the older design, which had a punch hole and a ring LED. It’s a bit of a downgrade on the Y19s 5G. The phone now has a U-notch on its LCD and a cheaper-looking design with just a standard flash. This newcomer is built around a 6.74” 90Hz IPS screen with a 720p resolution and 700nits brightness.

The panel can only hit 70% of the NTSC color gamut range, so it’s clear they chose a weaker display here. But the Vivo's latest 5G mobile makes up for it in performance. The company placed a Dimensty 6300 chip at its core, which is a 6nm 2.4GHz processor.

Of course, the chip also unlocks 5G connectivity for the phone. Faster performance is just a bonus. Sadly, it’s still an entry-level phone, so its 6GB RAM is based on the LPDDR4X, and the storage is 128GB eMMC 5.1. The SD card slot opens up the possibility of up to 2TB of storage.

The 4G version had a 5500 mAh battery, which is no longer a standard among Chinese phones. On the Y19s 5G, they bumped the cell to a full 6,000 mAh with 15W charging. One charge should last you a day and a half, with light usage, of course.

Another upgrade is the OS. The Y19s 5G has Android 15 built in with FunTouch OS 15. The Main camera is 13MP, and the selfie camera is capped at 5MP resolution. Vivo even secured an IP64 rating for this cheap entry-level handset, which is a bonus. Now, the starting price for Vivo Y19s (4/64GB) is ~$123 (~PKR 35,000). This is definitely one of the cheapest 5G devices out there.
