Vivo continues its steady stream of new smartphone releases, and the latest contender on the horizon is the Vivo Y17s, potentially joining the mid-range lineup. Spotted on the Geekbench website, the newcomer, bearing the model number V2310, provides intriguing insights into its capabilities.

On the Geekbench benchmark, the Vivo Y17s demonstrated a single-core score of 328 and a multi-core score of 1161. These results point to the device bearing a modest octa-core Unisoc Tiger T700 CPU with the Mali G52 MC2 GPU.

The Geekbench further reveals that the phone will feature 4GB of RAM, although the listing notes it as 3.66GB. The company will likely advertise it for up to 4GB of memory. Expected to come preloaded with Android 13, the device will feature Vivo home-brewed Funtouch OS skin.

Recent listings on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Bluetooth SIG indicate that the Vivo Y17s will offer 4G connectivity followed by Bluetooth 5.0 support. While the exact release date for the global markets remains undisclosed, the latest Vivo 4G mobile will likely debut in the coming months.

The name “Vivo Y17s” hints at a rehash of the older Vivo Y17. There's also the possibility that these two phones are distinct entities, as the original Y17 debuted in 2019, which makes it almost four years ago.

Following the Y-series tradition, the Vivo Y17s will cater to budget-conscious consumers with modest specifications. Users can anticipate a sizable display featuring a minimum 90Hz refresh rate and a capacious 5,000mAh battery. The Unisoc processor, while bearing less power than the competitors, should suffice for everyday tasks.
