Vivo Y02 renders appeared online in a recent bust, revealing the device's design, launch date, and some specifications. The rumored launch date was accurate, and the phone has landed in the Indonesian market with more regions to follow. Ahead of its reveal, live images of the device were already doing rounds on the internet.

Live images showcase Y02's Blue and Purple colorways. On a 6.51-inch IPS LCD with a drop-melded notch, Vivo Y02 provides an HD+ resolution at 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20: 9 aspect ratio. The intrusive header carries a 5-Megapixel snapper. Its screen stats align perfectly with the recently launched counterpart, Vivo Y02s.

Vivo Y02 has a solo 8-megapixel primary camera and LED flash embedded into a round module rear side. Vivo hasn't revealed the processor yet, but the leaked info from former reports indicates that it is the Helio P22 chip.

In addition to a mediocre SoC, the latest Vivo budget mobile has 2 - 3GB of RAM, followed by 32GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot allows for additional storage. The device boots using a 5,000mAh battery, rated for 10W charging. Instead of a type-C port, the device plugs in using a MicroUSB pin.

Since The Vivo Y02 is a low-specced phone, it runs a partial android environment (Android 12 Go). At an ultra-slim cost, it provides all the essentials, including dual SIM and 4G VoLTE; it has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, except for a fingerprint reader.

It measures 163.99 x 75.63 x 8.49mm and weighs around 186 grams. Painted in the colors shown in renders, Orchid Blue and Cosmic Grey colors, it costs 95$ or ~Rs 21,500. Compared to the Vivo Y02s price, the new handset seems like a better contender.
