Vivo X300 E was supposed to launch today, on July 27th. And it did, just as planned, in China with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a 50MP Sony IMX921 camera. Of course, it’s a flagship device. And the X300 E earns that title with the hardware it carries. This is everything we learned about the device, from specs to price.
Those black and orange colors are thinner and lighter at 7.79mm and 199.5 grams. But the white skin pushed it to 7.99mm thick and 203 grams. Extra weight doesn’t mean it’s special in any way. Every Vivo X300 E option is built around a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and that’s a 3.8GHz octa-core Oryon 3rd gen core flagship chipset with UFS 4.1 storage.
The RAM is LPDDR5X, and the only option the X300 E has is 12GB. The storage is either 256GB or pricier 512GB. The screen seems to be a 6.59” AMOLED at 1.5K resolution (2,750 x 1,260p). The refresh rate of Vivo new X mobile screen is 144Hz. But it’s not LTPO. That’s what they changed over the X300 FE’s 120Hz LTPO panel.
They didn’t advertise any brightness figures for it. But we do know that the AMOLED has very thin bezels, and there’s a punch hole on it where they fit a 50MP selfie shooter. By the way, the 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor is being used for the newcomer’s main camera.
There’s a 50MP telephoto lens here, which is a Sony IMX882 periscope unit. The main and optical zoomer have OIS too. And then comes an 8MP ultrawide. This is less ideal, resolution-wise. But every camera on this phone will do 4K videos.
It’s new, but not new enough for Android 17. This will be important to note from this point because devices with official Android 17 are starting to show up in the market. Yes, we are talking about the Galaxy Z Fold 8 duo and Flip 8. Vivo X300 E has Android 16 with Origin OS 6 by default, so it’s technically outdated now.
By the way, the battery is larger on the X300 E than on the X300 FE. The “E” has pushed the capacity to 7200mAh even though it’s way thinner than the latter. The charging input is 90W. The fingerprint is Ultrasonic. There’s an infrared remote hardware as well. CNY 4,799 (~$709) is the official base price for the Vivo X300 E 12GB/256GB configuration.
