Vivo X200s is the company’s latest flagship device with Dimensity 9400+ chip and a top-notch BOE display. This phone was released in China today at a surprisingly low cost, which we will talk about in a second. Let’s review the phone’s specifications first to see how it compares with the rest of Vivo’s X200 family.
The front display on Vivo X200s comes from BOE, which specializes in high-brightness OLEDs. The one we see on this device reaches up to 5000 nits with 2160 Hz PWM dimming. Its supported resolution is 1.5K (2800 x 1260), and the screen can also do a 120Hz refresh rate.
The BOE Q10 ZIESS master color 6.67” OLED on the Vivo X200s has a flat profile, but the borders are pretty slim with more than 90% screen-to-body ratio. There’s a punch-hole cutout on the top, which also doubles as an active notification center, much like the Dynamic Island on iPhones.
The latest Vivo flagship mobile runs on Android 15, but instead of Funtouch OS, the Chinese X200s uses Origin OS 15, which has its own set of features geared toward the native population. MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400+ SoC handles this software, confirmed by the company with around a 20% AI performance gain over the regular D9400 chip.
In the highest variant, the X200s brings 1 TB storage and up to 16 gigs memory with latest UFS 4.1 and LPDDR5X technologies. Its battery size is 6200mAh, bigger than the vanilla X200, but the charging speeds are identical with 90W max input. Vivo X200s also brings wireless 40W charging, a feature missing from the standard X200.
From what we’ve gathered so far, the X200s has the same split-battery technology that’s being used by other Vivo X200 variants. Its fingerprint sensor is ultrasonic and it brings the top-notch WiFi 7. Even more impressive is this phone’s latest feature called “kilometer-level network-free communication,” which essentially works as a radio communicator for connection without relying on mobile networks.
That huge camera array on the back supports three flagship-grade lenses with triple 50MP sensors. One of them is a primary Sony IMX921 sensor (OIS with VCS 2.0 color calibration), the second one has an ultrawide Samsung JN1 sensor, and the third is a 3X periscope telephoto Sony IMX882.
Vivo X200s also has a 32MP camera on the front for selfies. It’s also quite durable with an IP68/IP69 rating, and the extra features such as NFC, an IR blaster, and an X-axis haptic linear motor are a nice addition. Vivo X200s starts at around $575 (~PKR 161,000) for 12/256GB trim, but it can go up to 16/1TB memory pairing for ~$755 (~PKR 211,000). If Vivo decides to launch this device in the global market, you can expect its price tag to be in the ballpark.
