Vivo has been planning to add an Elite version to the V series. That means we’ll see four devices in the lineup instead of the usual three. There will be a Vivo V70 and V70 Elite handset, possibly ready for an official debut by mid-February. Here’s what SmartPrix had to say about these two devices.
These newcomers will land in Asia before any other continent, and we have received hints that it’s one of the neighboring markets. V70e and Lite are supposedly late. But SmartPrix reveals that the V70 Elite and vanilla V70 are due next month. We’ll know soon if these claims have any validity at all.
There is apparently a Vivo X200T in the pipeline as well. That seems to be a new member for the older series that we did not expect to see a year later. They’ve been teasing it online for a while now. Its launch might occur in February, right beside the V70 lineup. We are still trying to uncover the exact devices that are part of this launch.
We’ve seen other reports about the basic V70 and its specs. There was a BIS certification for the V70 Elite as well. That’s how we know it exists. The details are still short on this version. But we do know from the leaks that the V70 might cost around $500. And the so-called V70 Elite is actually closer to $550. We advise caution, though. Since these leaked prices don’t have well-grounded sources, you should take them with a grain of salt. Wait for more sources to verify these details. Anyway, we have some clues about the V70’s specifications.
The report says V70 should have at least 8GB of RAM. We assume it’s the base version they are talking about. They also verified the storage to be 256GB, and color choices are divided between Red and Yellow. There’s also supposed to be a 6.51” AMOLED here with 1.5K resolution.
A 120Hz refresh rate is also a possibility. Then comes the alleged camera, which is the same as the last generation: 50MP (main) + 50MP (telephoto) + 8MP (ultrawide). More leaks should appear as we get closer to the launch. So keep watching the news for updates.
